Basic rules of healthy eating..
All want to have a healthy eating habit, but basically only have a vague idea about what to do. Don't worry.. These are the simple steps to make your eating habits healthy...
1. Eat sparingly – Fats,
oils, sugars, and salt.
2. Eat moderately – Eggs, flesh foods, and milk.
These category of foods mainly contains good quality protein that helps us in normal body growth, development, and maintenance. Include these protein rich foods like lean beef, poultry, fish, egg, and milk moderately in your diet to have a healthy body. But beware of the high cholesterol content in milk, egg yolk, beef, pork, and poultry and trim any visible fat in flesh foods.
3. Eat liberally - Vegetables and fruits
These are the natural capsules of vitamins and minerals, which are the prime components helping in protective function. They also contain a good amount of fiber, so that liberal consumption of fruits and vegetables gives you protection against infections and degenerative diseases (diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, cancers, etc).
4. Eat adequately-
Cereals and pulses.
Eat adequate amounts of whole grain cereals and pulses. Cereals are the major source of carbohydrates in our diet, which give energy for proper functioning of our body. Pulses provide a good amount of protein for body building and maintenance and they are the primary source of proteins in a vegetarian diet. A good amount of fiber is also present in these whole grains and their products.
